Rachel Matthews serves as ACT’s Community Engagement Coordinator, bringing more than eight years of experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional with Williamson County Schools. In that role, she supported students with a variety of needs in both inclusive and individualized settings, implementing individualized supports, creating visual learning tools, supporting behavioral and social development, and helping students build greater independence.
Rachel also brings experience in community programming and outreach from her time as a civilian employee with the U.S. Navy’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, where she planned community events and recreational activities. At ACT, Rachel coordinates meaningful community-based instruction and experiences while building relationships with local businesses and community partners.
